Just married at the Mizpah ♠️ This summer I took Jeff on a “Nevadamoon”- I drug him around to several little Nevada towns that are close to my heart after our wedding. Our first stop was Tonopah, NV and the @mizpahhotel. I’ve been in love with the Mizpah for a long time. I marveled at the building as a child. I love the stories from old timers that spent time there in it’s heyday. Recently remodeled, she is now the desert gem that she was always meant to be. It made my heart so happy to stay there with my new hubby. Sidenote: We stayed in the Jim Butler Suite and our bed was a wagon. The look on Jeff’s face was priceless. 😂
We held down the homeland while #alien enthusiasts invaded for the #area51 raid. Tourists didn’t find any aliens, but I do believe that they found us locals to be out of this world. 👽🌎✌🏻 Y’all come back now, ya hear?! (key banjo music)
Summer was fun🌾✨

Big Magic at Thunder Mountain, NV ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️ This desert monument/work of art depicts historic massacres and bureaucratic betrayals experienced by Native Americans. It was built by Chief Rolling Mountain Thunder who started the project in the 60s. It’s a little spooky, a little sad, but mostly just beautiful. If you stop for a visit please make sure you donate toward preservation efforts. Learn more at ThunderMountainMonument.com
