It turns out that, among the numerous luminaries who were his clients, Joesph Brodsky was Gianni’s dear one. Among the intimate alleys of Cannaregio, Gianni Basso keeps alive the Art of the letterpress in his beautiful workshop. He warmly welcomed two strangers from Brookline into his world and made us feel the passion and love that he brings to his ‘work.’ It was a wonderful last impression to be left with as we prepared to leave Venice. #giannibassostampatore #letterpressprinting
