Thanks to everyone who stopped by our first-ever market at this weekend’s Kimmswick Apple Butter Festival. After a wet and dreary Saturday, it was great to see so many faces on Sunday. And if your plans to attend on Saturday were rained out, feel free to drop by our site, www.kimmswickcandleco.com, anytime, rain or shine. #candles #soycandles #kimmswick #kimmswickmo #makersgonnamake #applebutterfestival

With the arrival of @cinottisbakery’s famous pumpkin donuts, fall has finally arrived in Jacksonville. So how many pumpkin donuts arrived at your breakfast table, break room or board room this morning? #cinottisbakery #jacksonville #jacksonvillebeach #pumpkin #pumpkindonuts #ilovejax #bakeries #fall #autumn
Q. What’s wrong with this picture? A. My plane is pushing back from the gate. AND I’M NOT ON IT. 😩
It’s time to make the doughnuts at Jacksonville’s best doughnut shop, The Donut Shoppe! At 8:44 a.m., the cases are empty and there is a 2-hour wait for doughuts on #nationaldonutday🍩.
Birthday x 3 lunch today with two of my favorite people.
On the busiest TV watching day of the year, the newsroom’s quarter-century-old picture tube TVs were disconnected from cable, removed from their perches and piled on the floor for removal as we prepare to move to our new home at Wells Fargo Center. Oh the madness! #marchmadness #ncaabasketball #cbssports #newsroom #journos
After more than 25 years, I walked out of this building for the last time today. After some time away, I’ll join my Times-Union colleagues at Wells Fargo Center on April 2 after our move. After nearly 52 years, this building holds a special place in the hearts of countless journalists, pressmen and so many others (about 900 in 1967) once essential to getting the Times-Union to your doorstep every single day. A lot has changed in those 52 years, and especially during my 25 years there. One constant: the good people that walked the halls, banged out a story on deadline, worked with advertisers to build their small businesses, fired up the presses, bundled and distributed newspapers, threw them in your driveway and more. There’s far fewer of us now, but our mission is still the same: to keep our community informed, to keep a watchful eye on our government leaders and institutions, and to entertain, inspire and enlighten our readers. . #newspapers #journalism #jacksonville
