I made it to Canada on September 2nd! I walked there! What the heck!!! 🇨🇦 This journey was absolutely the most difficult thing I’ve ever done physically and mentally, but also the most rewarding and magical and joy-filled experience. I’m so grateful to have had the chance to walk thousands of miles through desert and snow and forests and mountains. To enjoy the routine and simplicity of life on trail. To sit in the dirt and stare at a landscape that leaves me speechless. To meet amazing people from all around the world and experience incredible generosity from complete strangers. There has been so much clarity and space and time to learn about myself and the world around me.
I’m simultaneously sad and relieved to be done. But lucky for me - I still have 400 miles of California to walk. For now, it’s goodbye PCT, but I’ll be back next summer 😘 #pct2019

“Hella sick views bro” - John Muir

This week I: walked through a dense creepy forest with no people for three days, saw a very recently decapitated rabbit in said dense creepy forest with no people, got a hole in my sleeping pad, cried at least twice, lost my sunglasses, got stung by a bee, and ran out of food. But I also got to look at these views. So I guess it all evens out. #survivingnotthriving #sos

The northern half of Oregon has been a real treat. It’s been awesome to walk by mountains I’ve played on/around my whole life. And also returning to pieces of the trail I hiked last summer, thinking about what it would be like to thru hike and now I’m thru hiking. It’s been fun. Feeling super at home out here.

GUYS hiking the PCT is really really hard, don’t let these pretty pictures fool you. Sometimes I wish I could just twist my ankle a little bit so I could go home and lay in my cozy bed and pet my dog (I’m lame I know) BUT then I wake up and Mount Shasta is in my face and I dance down the trail to funky tunes and talk to a baby bunny for awhile. I don’t know why I thought walking to Canada was a good idea, but I’m doing it 🤷‍♀️ #pct2019

I’m back on the PCT baby!!!Northern California welcomed us with snow on snow on snow and a few thunderstorms and lots of mosquitoes. It’s been a fun challenge and a good reminder of how sweet it is to cruise on dry, dirt trail. Also soooooo stoked Simon gets to be out here with me for three weeks! ❤️

702.2 miles of Southern California is done! Finally got to Kennedy Meadows one week ago. Trail snow coverage in the Sierra is currently 314% above average due to several late spring storms, making that portion of trail a straight up winter mountaineering expedition. SOOO decided to flip north and return to the Sierra when I won’t need crampons and snowshoes. I’m in Oregon right now hanging with some friends, petting my dog, and hugging my boyfriend. Planning to get back out on trail in NorCal with @chacoswithsocks in a week. Woohoo! #pct2019

It was a cold, wet, snowy, windy week on the PCT. Didn’t expect my last 130 miles in the desert to be so CHILLY, but it was of course so so beautiful and I found myself smiling every day even if my hands were numb for 6 days straight. #pct2019
