Tintype photography is a tedious process that requires full cooperation between the subject and photographer. The photos you see from the past where everyone looks angry, it’s because they had to stay still for upwards of 2 minutes in order for the photo to expose properly. It really makes you appreciate all of the work and thought involved just to take a single portrait. The results however, when done right, are incredible.
