Home sweet home. I've lived in New York City for over 25 years before setting off to travel full time, here are some of my favorite spots and tips.

For the best views of the NYC Skyline: Gantry Plaza State Park, 7 train to Vernon Blvd or take the FREE Staten Island ferry.

Favorite Parks: Central Park, the Highline, West Side Highway, Prospect Park, Brooklyn Bridge Promenade, Battery Park, stroll across Brooklyn Bridge *** Do NOT eat in Little Italy near Chinatown in Manhattan (tourist traps)

p.s. I don't use Uber or Lyft in NYC - they don't work as well as SF... but ymmv :) View of the Empire State Building: Monarch Rooftop (bar)

Classic restaurants: Stanton Social, Beauty & Essex (they have free champagne in the ladies restroom, lol)

The good old stand-by: Verlaine (for lychee martini's and old school vibe)

Xixa (Brooklyn) - choose a flavored ice cube and your mezcal / tequila to customize your own cocktail - the restaurant has very good food also.

Dollar oysters: Sel Rose, Essex, etc.
Burlesque Brunch at Bathtub Gin

Lobster rolls at Luke's Lobster

Steak at Wolfgang's Park Avenue

Best lunch deal: Jean Georges dining room (not Nougatine)

Dessert tasting menu at ChikaLicious

Cocktails:

Blacktail - cocktails bar downtown - run by the the same owners as Dead Rabbit, with better food.
PDT (Please Don't Tell) - the granddaddy of all NYC Speakeasies (Milk and Honey is closed)

Lovers of Today - not many people know about this place, it's divey but I really like it

Angel Share - hidden behind a good Japanese / Korean restaurant. classy Japanese joint

Someone calls it the chaos of contrasts, someone calls it the perfection of flaws. These colours, sounds and smells make a city where it belongs to. When in #Amman , walking around these stalls of a souq where you can find from spices to kitchenwares, was one of my favourite experiences I had in Jordan. 🕵🏻‍♀️👩🏻‍🌾🥜 🔹🔸🔹 Ürdün’de çöl, Petra ve ölüdeniz deneyimlerinden sonra en sevdiğim şey Amman’daki “souq” kültürü oldu. Eminönü’nü andıran uzun bir sokak üzerine kurulmuş renk renk pazarlar. Gürültü, kalabalık, kaos.
